Massive irregularities in hajj management

After derogatory remarks on hajj and Tablighi Jamaat by a senior minister, massive irregularities in hajj management have raised questions.
There is an allegation that a section of officials of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in collaboration with a powerful syndicate are making crores of money. The officials issued hajj agency licences to their relatives and syndicate members those have got orders to send pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
The ministry officials are also blamed for trade in different activities including publication of hajj guide.
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is now conducting an investigation against the officials including an additional secretary, joint secretary and deputy secretary. An assistant director of ACC is probing the irregularities, and he has been asked to submit the probe report as early as possible, sources in the ACC said.
Some of the suspected officials are Hasan Jahangir Alam, joint secretary (hajj), Jahangir Alam, deputy secretary (hajj), Ahmed Mostafa Molla, office assistant, and Bazlul Haque Biswas, additional secretary, according to ACC.
