Agitated guardians and students formed a human chain programme in front of Udayan School and College in the city on Monday morning demanding removal of principal and assistant Headmistress of the school.

The protesting guardians said we don’t think our children are safe in the hands of these teachers who can cut the students uniform using scissors.

Guardians also said, “No civilized society can expect such type of behavior from teachers. The principal and the assistant headmistress must step down from their posts.”

Earlier on May 22, wife of Labor Minister Raziuddin Ahamed Razu and the assistant Headmistress Mahabuba Khanam Kolpona cut uniforms of over 50 students. Following the incident guardians started protest demanding their removal.

Meanwhile a meeting was held over the incident at school building and a committee was formed in this regard but the guardians refused that.

On the other hand, guardians declared a new programme on May 28 to form human chain again with banners and festoons.
