DU teachers for strong resistance against evil forces

Dhaka University teachers on Monday urged the people to build a strong resistance in all villages of the country against the attackers on the people of minority community.
They also urged the people to remain alert about evil forces who are carrying out the heinous activities to create unrest in the lives of people to thwart the trial of the war criminals.
The teachers of the university made the call while addressing a solidarity rally at the foot of the Aporajeyo Bangla on the campus.
They demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of those involved in the attacks on the minorities and destructive acts across the country.
Terming the attacks on minority people inhuman and violations of the spirit of the constitution, the speakers of the rally also urged the government to take proper measures to protect the lives and assets of the people of minority community.
They said, “The affected people of the minority community should give compensation.”
Prof Farid Uddin, President of Dhaka University Teachers’ Association (DUTA), urged the government to identify the culprits who were working in favour of the war criminals staying in the admistration.
He said, “We should boycott anti-liberation forces socially.”
Convener of Ganajagaran Mancha Dr Imran H Sarker urged the young generation to remain united to foil the evil designs and plots of the anti-liberation forces against the country.
Representatives from the affected families of the minority community spoke at the function and stated their terrible experiences.
Jagannath University VC Prof Dr Mizanur Rahman, former dean of social science faculty of Dhaka University Dr KM Samad, Prof Dr Muntasir Mamun, former DUTA general secretary Prof Dr Wahidduzzaman, Prof Mamun al-Mostafa, Prof Dr Akhtaruzzaman, among others, were present.
Leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra Maitry, Somajtrantric Chhatra Front, Bangladesh Chhatra Federation and others leftist student organisations also expressed their solidarity with the people of minority community.
