The annual general meeting (AGM) of Chittagong University Debating society (CUDS), the central debating organisation of Chittagong University, established in 1996, was held at a city restaurant on January 4, 2013. The fourteenth committee, consisting of 21 executive committee members, was formed to run the organisation for the next one year with Moriom Jahan Sinthia being the president and Afzalur Rahman as its general secretary. Lutfur Rahman, the president of the 13th committee, formally announced the names of the new committee. The meeting also bade adieu to its outgoing president and general secretary. The function was presided over by its moderator Mahbubul Haque, Professor Dept of Bangla, Chittagong University, with Professor Dr MD Alauddin, the Pro VC of Chittagong University, as a chief guest.
