`Movement will be continued until meeting demand`

Students of private universities have announced that their movement will continue until the government stops its move to impose VAT on their tuition fees.
“Education is our fundamental, right so we urge the government not to impose VAT on education. Their movement will continue until their demand is met”, students said.
Students of Stamford University, State University, Daffodil International University (DIU), Bangladesh University and Northern University demonstrated in Dhanmondi area in protest against the government`s move to impose VAT on their tuition fees.
During the demonstration, students carried placards that read "Lift VAT or shoot us".
Students of East West University (EWU) also continued their movement against the government`s move to impose VAT on their tuition fees.
Students of the private university began demonstration from Sunday morning and took position around 10.30am on Progati Sarani in Rampura area.
