2 men was killed as the mural of Royal Bengal Tiger installed at capital’s Kawran Bazar intersection collapsed on him while he was sleeping near to it early Friday.
Later, the victim was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead on arrival.
Details of the deceased-- a driver of rickshaw van-- could not be known immediately.
Kalabagan Thana officer-in-charge (OC) M Iqbal confirmed the matter to banglanews.
In January, 2010, during the 11th South Asian Games in Dhaka, two replicas of the Royal Bengal Tiger were made under the supervision of 14 Engineering Brigade of Bangladesh Army.
Within eight months of construction, it was seen that the tigers were transfiguring into a mewing white cat losing colors.
Later, banglanews made a report titled- “Bengal Tiger transfigured into white cat!”
Then, authorities concerned take steps and the tigers were given the prior shape after painting.
