30 Apr, 2017
Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan has been banned in Dhaka’s movie for indefinite period.
The Film Directors’ Association took the decision at a joint meeting held at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) on Saturday afternoon (April 29).
The decision came following the ‘derogatory comments’ of Shakib Khan about film directors which published in media, including national daily.
The film directors at the meeting discussed that Skakib Khan’s comments tarnished their images. ‘He did not refrain from such comment till now’.
The Film Directors’ Association issued a notice in this regard. President of the association Mushfikur Rahman and its secretary general Badiul Alam Khokon signed the notice. Presidents and secretaries of other film associations also signed the notice.
Shakib Khan’s comments came in the media after discussions about his secret marriage with film actress Apu Biswas.
During an interview, he reportedly told a daily that many FDC directors spend time chatting instead of doing work.
Earlier, the Film Directors’ Association sent a legal notice to Shakib Khan.
The association also reportedly cancelled the membership of film director Shamim Ahmed Rony for continuing shooting with Shakib Khan new movie ‘Rangbaz’.
