Gold price drops

After raising for two consecutive times, the price of gold has been dropped by Tk 1,516 per bhori (11.664 gram) in the country.
Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) said the revised rates will be effective from Tuesday.
Besides, the traders have also reduced the price of silver by Tk 58 per bhori (11.664 gram).
The new prices of gold and silver have been fixed based on the unanimous opinion of the BAJUS executive committee, said a press release sent to media on Sunday signed by its General Secretary Enamul Haque Khan.
The traders increased the price of gold by Tk 1,225 on May 6 last year. Barely two months ago of it, on March 5, they raised the price by Tk 1,224.
