President returns home from Singapore

President Abdul Hamid returned home on Saturday night from Singapore wrapping up his seven-day visit for follow-up eye checkup. A regular flight of Singapore Airlines, carrying the President, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10.40 pm.Planning Minister AK Khandaker, Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, Dean of the diplomatic corps, the Cabinet Secretary, the chiefs of the three services and high civil and military officials concerned were present at the airport to receive him.Earlier, Bangladesh High Commissioner to Singapore Mahbub Uz Zaman and High Commissioner of Singapore to Bangladesh Chan Heng Wing saw him off at Changi International Airport in Singapore.The President had his follow-up eye checkup at Singapore National Eye Centre.Hamid also underwent medical checkup at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital.President Abdul Hamid had left Dhaka for Singapore on the night of August 24.
