Shadakalo’s Kalamkari

Shadakalo's KalamkariShadakalo has brought out a line titled ‘Shadakalor Kalamkari’, drawing inspiration from the popular South Indian craft of Kalamkari, which is a type of hand-printed or block-printed cotton textile.
Shadakalo has used various motifs of Kalamkari in designing their saris, panjabis, shalwar kameez sets, tops and shirts. The designs have primarily been done in screen and block prints. As always there are clothes of similar designs in different sizes for the whole family as well as in father-son, mother-daughter pairs.
The price ranges are : saris from Tk.1480-Tk.5,000; kameezes from Tk. 1580-Tk.5,000; tops from Tk.580-Tk.1180; panjabis from Tk.680-Tk.2180; kurtas from Tk.680-Tk.1580; fatuas from Tk.480-Tk.1280. (Daily star)
