Muslims are caught in the cross fire between the fools and naives!
30 December 2014, Tuesday
Any mentally deranged and psychotic crackpots looking for attention seems to prefer Islam as the best bait. And guess what, they get the attention they are seeking! But at what cost? The religion of nearly 2 billion people is being held hostage almost on a daily basis by nutters and those who provide them the oxygen of publicity! Yes, it may generate higher viewing figure, better rating and a brighter career but price paid by many Muslims include verbal abuse, physical injury and even death! Is it a price worth paying?
I am sick and tired of both the attention seekers and attention givers desecrating the rest of us, the innocent people, caught in the cross fire between the fools and the naives. We are being attacked from both ends, the puritanical and pretentious extremists from Muslim background as well by some gullible narrow minded right wing racist bigots with extremes supremacist ideals. The Sydney hostage incident is a case in example. The lunatic who took people hostage in a cafe has a huge criminal record for sex assaults, violence and other evil and a background that shows his mental instabilities. He has no links with ISIS and yet many media agencies have already entitled him as the Islamist hostage taker or gunman. His Muslim identity was been stated prominently in many of the news feeds throughout the crisis. The consequence is simple - inspiring the narrow minded thugs to attack anyone who appears to be Muslim.
I appreciate the maturity and generosity of masses of Australian people who signed up to the campaign "I will ride with you", standing in solidarity with their fellow Australian Muslims who had nothing to do with the hostage taker. Attacks on Mosques, Islamic centres and people who are visibly Muslim had already started and ordinary public felt the need to stand together to protect their Muslim neighbours and friends. However, the narrow minded begots do not make any distinction between the deranged crackpot and the ordinary Muslims. He or she would have heard about the Muslim identity of the hostage taker from the radio or watched it on the TV programmes or read about it in the newspapers. In their little brain they had already equated all the Muslims with the same terrorism brush. Those who give attention to the pathological attention seekers, in my view, are also responsible for the association that eventually leads to attacks on innocent Muslims. The attention seekers and the attention givers are no different - the consequence of their action is equally dire.
Every lunatic who engages in criminal and violent activities in the name of politics or their personal grief does not need their religious identity to be broadcast over and over again. This common alliance of the fools and the naives is causing the Muslims around the world to feel aggrieved, victimised, attacked and abused, most sadly singled out! The 1.8 billions Muslims never endorse the evil of these people.
Terrorism, extremism, kidnapping, torture and violence do not have a religion. These are products of ignorance, hatred and exploitation perpetrated by very lowly people - in fact I find it hard to call them human or even animals. They are worse than animals. However, we have to ask ourselves the most difficult question, what could lead people to stoop so low? In my view ongoing injustices and unfairness can push people to become extreme, when we do not deal with ongoing injustices and leave them to fester it could lead people to lose all sense of proportionality and rationale and behave terribly! It is never a justification for their behaviour but allowing injustices to fester is equally unjustifiable. Those who perpetrate evil and those who allow evil to prevail are equally guilty. I am sick and tired of these two extremists holding the rest of us responsible for their own evil.
I am appalled at what is going on in the world today and I am even more disgusted by the world leaders failure and unwillingness to change the way the world is run. I am not willing to watch this madness reign supreme but I must rise to challenge the extremists from all sides.
