A friendly environment for students

A proved goes, `` Today’s babies are tomorrow’s future”. So we should keep in mind that the students of today are the leaders of the country in future. They will bear the responsibilities of the nation in the years come after they have equipped themselves with proper knowledge and capabilities. So we have many things to do for them. We should try our best our everything possible for the betterment of this students. We should ensure a friendly and healthy environment at school as well as family level. But it is unfortunate that most of the schools of our country are running without any healthy and friendly environment. As a result the students find no interest In theirs studies. Moreover, a large number of these students drop out from school every year. In face the students of a country like Bangladesh have been facing unhealthy situation due to lack of proper health facilities. Most of the schools are running with insufficient supply of safe water and sanitation system. The majority of the city schools have no play ground that indirectly leaves an adverse impact on the physical growth of students. Infrastructural problem are also prevalent in most of the city schools. The whole environment is not child friendly at all.

It is our heartiest desire that there must be a harmonious relation among the teachers and the students. If a close and cordial relation prevails in the institution the system of transmission of knowledge from the teacher to the students becomes smooth easy and joyful. It may be mentioned here that the main duty of a teacher is to create proper interest in his respective subject. Without creating a special interest in his subject , a teacher can seldom make the topic attractive and interesting. So, by adopting only a friendly teaching method in the class , he can discharge his main duty successfully.

It is observed that examination also create panic among a good number of students. Undoubtedly, these are the consequence without enjoyable and friendly environment. The examination phobia and fear for classes should be eliminated through attractive method , interaction and friendly relation among the teachers and the students.

Unfortunately sometimes students are physically punished by the teachers instead of behaving friendly. The use of physical punishment including beating and canning is still believed to be an effective way of getting pupils attention in the classes especially in rural areas. The parents not only tolerate this but also they actually allow to do that. Surprisingly, they are very often heard to say ,`` His (child) bones are mine the flesh is yours” Do what you have to do make him human. `` The parents are also seen to take punitive action against their children whenever they are found to be indifferent to their studies. These trends may cause mental disorder.

To keep pace with the current world and to build up the future generation properly for the prosperity of the nation , a friendly and healthy environment at school as well as at family level should be ensured for our students. Otherwise we will lag behind day by day .Finally we should more serious and sincere to every student to make him/her a good citizen by achieving all the qualities which will bring honour and prosperity to our whole nation in the present are of globalization.
