Despite all the ruthless criticism of women’s status in Islam, perhaps these five word message is more than enough to assert that the mission of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh),and all other Prophets, were to raise the status of women in particular, free humanity from the shackle of slavery from inward and outward, make the world known the passionate way to deal the deprived and weaker class of society.

It is the teachings of the Prophets that help us to realize that our parents are the most wonderful gift from our Lord one could ever have on this earth; we share their success and learn from their mistakes- they are our perennial teachers. Ironically, very few of us could realize this facts when they are alive - except some wonderful, gifted persons like Bayzid Bostami.

We all have read this wonderful ‘hard to control tear’ story in our school years; when in the middle of the night his mother asked for water in her sleep, the young boy finding no water at home had run to the mountain to fetch water and stood whole night beside his mother’s bed, so that he was not late to serve if she asked for water again. One could imagine the joy and pride of his mother when she had realized and seen her son standing whole night beside her bed. The mother cried to God to reward his son in this life and hereafter, and sure God had responded to her cry- Byazid evolved as an eminent scholar of his time.It is only possible to extend such passionate care to parents only if one could mould him/herself with the teachings of divine scriptures.

Here are some beautiful Quranic and Biblical verses on respect and kindness to Parents:

Al-Quran

understand'
