Maududi’s son says: “May Allah’s curse be upon the Jamaat-e-Islami. My father has created a monster which will destroy Pakistan. We are Nine brothers and sisters, IF we cannot get justice in Pakistan, who can? Jamaat-e-Islami of Pakistan has forcefully taken over our father’s properties. We have been waiting for justice for the last 35 years. Even the Supreme court Justices are afraid of Jamaat’s thuggery and goondaa-gerdi. Our father told us that he made the greatest mistake of his life. That is why he never allowed his nine children to join the Jamaat. In 1940, Mowlana Abul Kalam Aazaad asked my father, ‘what is the purpose of this Islami Jamaat’? Moududi replied a fascist state where nobody should be able to challenge the leader of the Jamaat. Jamaat chielf is like chief of staff of the army ; nobody should be allowed to criticize him. Hamudur Rahman commission said, Jamaat leader Mowlana Khurram Murad slapped Mowlana Bhaashaani repeatedly and lined up 15 Bengalis at a time and shot them at close range. My father sent Goondaas and did not allow Mujibur Rahman to have meeting in Golbaag Karachi. Mujib told my father, I will never allow you to come to East Pakistan. These Mowlana’s are the monsters, creation of my dad.
