Where is the end of my Journey?

লিখেছেন লিখেছেন মহিউডীন ১৬ মার্চ, ২০১৩, ১০:১৬:২৫ রাত

My journey is started from an average village home and growing up. I was a normal child with a middle class family life. I grew up in a muslim conservative family where there were strict rules of islam were applied but there were Bida’a also in those Ibada which I knew later when I started to devote myself in real islam. I am a simple man. Whenever I find time , I am trying to think about the universe. Allah swt says in sura Al Imran verse 190 “ The creation of the sky and the earth and the alteration of day and night, between these there is thought for wise”. I am an accountant, dealing with figures all the time. It is impossible for me to be a poet who can dream for an impossible thing. But some time I was surprised to feel by my heart, in this universe how the angels are traveling around and they are not tired to follow their lord. I am a human being are travelling without aim. I have a lot of mistakes which I don’t care. In my surrounding a lot of polithiest and polygamy full to the brim in the society and I am in deep sleep. I am sending many messages , some are replying with arrogance , some are laughing ,some are dejecting but some are really appreciating me for my dawa ilallah. Inspite of all , I am simply trying to travel and to reach my target. My work is to love and satisfy my lord , His Prophet(pbuh) and love His creature. My work is not to quarrel with anyone. I have to take some rest and to go forward my journey as the Prophet (pbuh) said a passerby will take some rest while in his journey and this is the objective of this life.

I have seen local many ulama’s were announcing islam, when they were delivering dawa ilallah or any kuthbah(speech) , I realize now there were many mistakes. It is actually a mistake of ignorant and in otherwards a mistake of their education system. During the time of British reign , they have established many institutions which produced a kind of ulama of Bida’a , many worshippers of grave. Later these productions are scattered in Indian sub continent and established school(Madrasa). Those teachers were not taught exactly by the Sunnah of Prophet(pbuh). A mix education of some sunnah and Bida’a (which the apostle of Allah swt dint do). They have divided muslim through four madhab and some other invented religious ways. There are many kinds of Pirtontro( according to them religious institutions). Haqqani Pir ( good Religious leader) Vondo Pir( Bad religious leader). In islam there is no category like that. They have made it for their religious business. There are many Islamic organizations following Islamic modernism which contradicts with real islam. For your information just I am highlighting little bit about British administration under implementation of divide and rule policy in 1858 – 1947 to reign the Indian sub continent. One hundred ninety years, muslims were suffering including our forefathers under them. The British invaders of India did not create Moslim-Hindu rivalry but they certainly made use of what they found. A divided India was a weak India. Although communal riots were troublesome for the Police and costly to traders it was possible for the alien rulers to view them somewhat philosophically. British capitalists were holding down India because they made big profits out of it and they no more thought of getting out of India because of Hindu-Muslim riots than they would have thought of giving up the profits of capitalism at home because of occasional conflicts with the workers.

The enthusiasts for Indian independence, particularly the members of the predominately Hindu Congress Party, built up their propaganda on a foundation provided by two charming myths. One was that if only British capitalism would get out Muslims, Hindus and the adherents of other religious systems would forget their traditional differences and live peaceably together. The other was that India is a “nation,” all its 400 million inhabitants yearning to be united under their own Indian government. Events during the past year have shattered both. British rule has ended but the largely Hindu India and the largely Muslim Pakistan refused to unite. They are two separate States facing each other in an atmosphere of tension bordering on war. Many tens of thousands of Muslims in India and Hindus in Pakistan have been brutally murdered in communal disturbances that dwarf anything that has happened for years. Hundreds of thousands of refugees were living in misery and fear.

It may be asked, in view of what has happened, have the leaders of the Indian parties failed in their object? Were they have mistaken in their myths and have their eyes now been opened? By no means. Myths are made by leaders for the deception of their followers, not for the leaders’ own consumption. The masses may now be suffering pangs of disillusionment, but not the leaders except perhaps some curious figures like Gandhi and his circle.Gandhi’s despair was exposed in a speech he made late in September:“ If there is no other way of securing justice from Pakistan and if Pakistan persistently refuses to see its proved error and continues to minimize it the Indian Union Government would have to go to war against it. As for myself, my way is different. I worship God which is Truth and non violence. There was a time when India listened to me. Today I am a back number. I have no place in the new order where they want an army, a navy, and an air force and what not. 1 can never be a party to all that.” (Times, 29/9/47.)

The divide and rule policy was starting to bear fruit for Britain and poison India’s communal harmony, as the even through two major World wars, Britain was able to sustain its rule over India. The rise of the communal political parties had already engulfed Indian politics with rhetoric of hate and anger. This infighting between the parties for their own objectives allowed Britain to exploit India even further for another three decades. Even as negotiations for an independent India began in 1931 at the Round Table Conferences in London, the Indian population remained split on what should be the outlook of independent India. The Lahore resolution adopted at the Muslim League in 1940 cemented the idea of a two-nation theory. The resolution called for greater Muslim autonomy under British rule, which ultimately lead to the creation of West Pakistan and East Pakistan.

The face of the Indian sub-continent and the state of its divisive local politics today owes much debt to the divide and rule policy of the Great Britain. The policy was a huge success for Britain as it gave the crown the power to rule and exploit India as a market for 90 years, at the cost of the political rights of the local population. Even through the decade of 1850 when Britain faced stiff competition from other imperial powers like the United States, and again in 1890’s with the rise of Japan, after the Meiji restoration, Britain was able to sustain its economy. The divide and rule policy that was just an imperial tool for Britain, sealed the destiny of the Indian sub-continent for the next several centuries to come. Even as divide and rule policy was just beginning to take effect in 1870’s, it set in motion a chain of events that would ultimately precipitate into the partition of the sub-continent.

Why I have given some expressions because the enemies of islam invaded this area and were damaging the Islamic heritage by establishing Thagout (reveal against Allah swt). Those are worshippers of grave , a big numbers of pirtontro. General illiterate people are knowing these are islam came from Makkah and Meddiah and they are worshipping accordingly. In my early age also I have gone to participate in Islamic meeting of those pirtantric area. But Allah swt. showed me the way of the truth in my last journey of Saudi Arabia. I have met a numberless of wise people actually they are real learned personality, with simple life. Just some information delivered to me and I tried to devote myself to study qur’an and Sunnah. I have gone several times to the Quran and my mind is not satisfied at all. It is inspiring me to go more and more in the depth of this. I was reading the life of Emam Bukhari ® ,while he was writing hadith, making him purified by showering and making perfect odu. Whenever I am starting to write something I remember Allah swt and for His help so that nothing will be expressed without the relation of Quran and sunnah.

Anyway we have an actual journey which few of the mankind knows. We have to research every step of our life. It’s a significant for life which we have been avoiding. Sura Qaf verse 19 says, “ The stupor of death surely will come, this is what you have been avoiding”. What is the objective of running of this life? Allah swt says in Al Quran Surat Adariah Verse 56 “I created Zinn and human being for my worship only”.The word Ibada, when it is translated from Arabic to other languages, it lost it’s original meaning. In English worship means Ibada and this meaning is not wide. Most of the English practitioner muslims are not going deepest part of Ibada. Most of the people are practicing some kind of basic Ibada and are circled on it. But the reality of Ibada is twenty four hours in a day and every moment in a year. A believer’s every moment is Ibada if he performs it by following of Allah’s guideline. A muslim must think what is his origin? How he came in this earth? What is his responsibility in this earth? When will be his final departure? Where will be end of his life? These questions will make a believer to reach near to Allah. If we look a new born, we can assume about our life. Allah swt says surat Al Insan verse 1 “Man spent long period when he was not a remarkable object” Sura Mumin verse 12-16 “ we created man from clay then kept in intensive care then create him as a accumulated blood then a piece of meat then creat bones and coverd with skin then gave a new complete shape. Then he will die and will be resurrected in the day of judgment”. Allah says Sura A’raf verse 11 “and we created you and gave structure and then told to the angels worship Adam ”. This is the creation of human being created by Allah swt. But unfortunately a kind of human being after sometime forget his origin and going against Him and making crisis in the universe. This kind of human being is so weak they cannot understand the reality of Islamic scripture. Month’s ago millions of people watched in the media. A kind of ignorant People(the people has no divine knowledge) are telling US president is the mighty of all in the world. While speaking in the media President Barak Obama faced a problem by a small mosquito and the mosquito seated infront of his nose. He is not able to fight with a lowest creature of Allah swt. and He(Allah) gave example also in Quran about this mosquito. How a kind of people are telling a human being mighty of all?

If we look a human being having a journey in this universe maximum hundred years according to an authentic hadith from Prophet (pbuh) and most of the people are departing within 60-70 years. In this life his work to establish the rules of Allah swt wherever he be. Prophet (pbuh) said every one is responsible for his subordinates. From a normal personality till the higher authority , every one is responsible to Allah swt for their actions. Following five pillars of islam( Belief in Allah swt and his Apostle , daily 5 times prayer , paying zakah(for able person) , fasting in the month of Ramadan and performing Hajj(philgrimage once in a life time for an able person). This is main and there are a lot of social obligations. Sura An Nisa verse 36 “ worship Allah and don’t associate anything with him, make good behavior to your parents, to your nearest relatives, to orphans,to poor, to nearest neighbor, to far neighbor , to colleagues to passersby and those are in your right hand”. A muslim if concentrating five foundations and all others according the above verse, he will not find a moment to spend un necessarily in the life.

Let’s look how a human being starts his/her life from mothers womb.Throughout history, all aspects of the unseen have fascinated man. He has especially attempted to explore and understand the phenomenon of the soul - that mysterious power which activates the human body. Many questions were asked, but only a few answers were available. During the lifetime of the Prophet (pbuh) the Jews of Medina sent their allies, the Makkan infidels, to the Prophet (saws) to ask about the soul. In reply to their questions, Sura Al Isra verse 85 says about soul,"They ask you (O Muhammad (pbuh) concerning the Ruh (Soul). Say: 'It is one of the things, the knowledge of which is only with my Lord. And of knowledge, you (mankind) have been given very little."

Because so little knowledge was available, most Muslim scholars considered any discussion concerning the soul to be 'taboo' and so this avenue of knowledge remained almost closed within scholastic circles. The most famous of the few work written on this subject was entitled "Kitab Al-Ruh" by Ibn Al-Qayyim.' Contrary to his normal approach of scholarly research, guided by the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah, in this book he relied heavily on weak and spurious reports attributed falsely to the Prophet (pbuh) by transmitters such as Ibn Abi Al Dunya and Abu Nu'aim. Later scholars argued that Ibn Al-Qayyim was too great a scholar to have written a book so largely based on fabricated narrations, and so concluded that he could not have been the author. Others argued that he must have written it before he met the great author and teacher, Sheikh Ibn Taymiyya, who had a profound effect on him and shaped his later works, which were always based on the Book of Allah swt and the authentic Sunnah of Prophet(pbuh).

In my short and humble contribution to the subject of the Soul, I have endeavored to rely on authentic sources alone. Due to the nature of this topic, I seek Allah’s forgiveness for any deviation from the truth on my part and I pray to the Almighty to accept this meager effort. And may Allah swt shower His blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his progeny. Allah swt created every single thing in the universe and he created physical body. If there is no soul , physical body has no value, we are seeing when a man dies. This is the reason we have to take much care every moment of our soul and this is the real man. If we build this proper way our journey will be better in this life and we can enter in paradise and if we don’t care of this in this life, it will direct us in great danger and ending of our journey will be in hell fire.

The soul is a creature of Allah swt. It is blown into every human being when it is just a foetus of 120 days old, it remains in contact if not inside the human being throughout its life on earth, and at the point of death it departs from the body to reside in the heavens. Like everything else in the universe it is a creation of Allah, but as the above Qur'anic verse informs us, mankind has been given only limited knowledge concerning it. When a body is given a soul, life begins. And when the soul leaves the body, life ends and death begins.During their journeys through this universe, the soul and its body travel through four different worlds:

1. The womb - where the soul joins its body.

2. This world - where we all live for a limited period only.

3. The grave - a ‘Barzakh’ period.

4. The Hereafter - The final destination of all human beings.

Each world is greater than the last, and the final world of the Hereafter is eternal and the most important. It is difficult for us as human beings living amidst the hubbub of worldly life to comprehend the sheer futility of this world and the permanence of the Hereafter. Thousands of dead are buried around us every day, but we find it impossible to envisage the new stage of the journey upon which they have embarked. To the living, the grave is simply an empty and dark hole in the ground; to the dead, it is their window into either Paradise or the Fire. And it is precisely because they cannot comprehend the next life that the majority of human beings refuse to believe in and obey Allah.

In this situation, we are like the foetus in the womb of its mother. Consider the unborn child whose only home for nine months is a dark and cramped place where it receives nourishment, warmth and space to grow. Suppose we could speak to the unborn child; what would we say when describing the world waiting for it outside? We would talk to it about the clouds, the mountains, the trees and the oceans. We would talk of a spectrum of colours, smells, tastes and textures. We would mention the thunder of trains, the roaring of planes, the speed of cars. We would describe flowers, birds and animals; a world of lush gardens, cascading rivers, valleys and plains. An enormous world of huge deserts, massive oceans and vast landscapes. a bustling world filled with noise, movement and numerous nationalities of people speaking a variety of languages

Would the little infant curled up in it's mother's womb understand the message? Indeed not. The womb is the only place he knows and to imagine the outside world would be beyond his comprehension. In the same way, our life in this world is temporary and like it or not, we will have to leave it to enter the world beyond the grave. Just because we cannot envisage or see the world of the Barzakh does not mean that it does not exist. What is the Soul ?

The Qur'an and Sunnah give us only a limited knowledge concerning the soul. From it we can say that the Arabic words 'Ruh' and 'Nafs' are both used, sometimes interchangeably, for the soul. Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim wrote in his scholarly work "Kitab al Ruh",

" Ruh is an entity which differs totally from the physical body. It is a subtle, ecclesiastical, enlightened living and moving body which penetrates into the depths of the organs and flows into them like the water in the rose or the oil in the olive or the fire in the coal. As long as these organs remain able to accept the impressions of this subtle body, the 'Ruh' remains attached to these organs and provides them with feeling and movement. But when these organs are spoiled because of the dominance of diseased elements upon it, and they are no longer able to accept the impressions of the soul, it leaves the body and heads towards the world of the souls. "

There is some difference in the way the words 'Ruh' and 'Nafs' are used. The 'Ruh' is the subtle spirit, which resides in the heavens and needs a physical body to carry it on the earth. When this spirit is given a body, life begins and it is described as 'Nafs'. The word 'Nafs' is used in a number of ways by the Qur'an, all of which imply the meaning of a soul with a body. 1. 'Nafs' meaning "Self." Sura Ma’ida verse 116 says "You know what is in my self but I do not know what is in Your self" 2. 'Nafs' meaning "Blood"."The (insect) which has flowing Nafs (blood)." 3. Nafs as a strong force in man, which can push him either towards good or evil. The concept of 'Nafs al Ammara bis Su'('Nafs' which encourages evil) and 'Nafs al Lawwama' ('Nafs' which blames) and 'Nafs al Mutmainna' ('Nafs' which is contented) are discussed in Al Quran. The Qur'an mentions two deaths and two lives given to us by Allah swt. Sura Al Baqara verse 28 says “How can you reject faith in Allah, seeing that you were dead and He gave you life. Then He will cause you to die, then He will bring you to life, then to Him will be your return." Surah Al Muminun verse 11 says"They will say: Our Lord, twice have You given us death and twice have You given us life…"

When the soul is first created it has no physical body and is considered to be a dead creature. In this state it is referred to as 'Ruh', and this is the first death as even death is created by Allah. Surah Al Mulk verse 2 says "He is the one who created Death and life in order that He may try which of you is best in deeds , and He is the Exalted, the Forgiving."The Qur'an also tells us that all the souls of mankind were created before the creation of Adam and were asked to testify to the Lordship of Allah. Sura A’raaf verse 272,"When your Lord drew forth from the loins of the children of Adam their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves: ‘Am I not your Lord?’. They said, ‘Yes, we do testify.’ This lest you should say on the Day of Judgement: ‘We were not aware of this.’ " The first life begins when the soul is breathed into an embryo in the womb of its mother, and now the soul is referred to as 'Nafs'. The word Nafs is also used for ‘blood’, and so women who are in a state of post-natal bleeding are known as 'Nufasaa’. As long as blood surges healthily through the body, there will be life in that body. Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said:"Indeed the creation of each one of you is brought together in his mother’s belly for forty days in the form of a seed, then he is a clot of blood for a similar period, then a morsel of flesh for a similar period. An angel is then sent to him who blows the breath of life into him..."(Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Scholars of Islam have concluded from this hadeeth that because the angel of life blows the soul into the fetus when it is 120 days old, abortion on very strict medical grounds is permissible only before the fetus is 4 months old. Once life has been blown into the fetus it becomes a living creature and to terminate its life is murder. The second death occurs when the soul leaves the body at the end of its appointed time on earth. Sura Al Imran verse 185 says “"Every Nafs (soul) shall taste death..."The Nafs dies and is buried, while its soul soars up to the heavens. That is why the Prophet (pbuh) taught us:"At death, the eyes follow the departing soul, so close the eyes."The second life will be the eternal life beginning on the Day of Judgement when the bodies will be resurrected and their souls will be blown into them once again. The Different States of Each Nafs: Nafs Al-Mutmainna - the Satisfied Soul.Sura Al Fajr verse 27-30 says ,"0 you satisfied soul. Return to your Lord pleased with yourself and pleasing to Him. Enter among My servants. And enter My paradise". Nafs Al Ammara Bis Su' - the soul that dictates evil. Sura Yusuf verse 53 says “And I do not free myself from blame. Indeed the human self is inclined to evil, except when my Lord bestows His Mercy (upon whom He wills). Indeed my Lord is Forgiving, Merciful." Nafs Al Lawwama - the Self-reproaching soul. Sura Al Qiyamah verse 1-2 says, “ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day. And I do call to witness the self-reproaching Soul."

The noblest of the souls is the satisfied soul, which at its last moments on earth will receive the glad news from its lord of "Enter among My servants and enter into my Paradise." In contrast is the soul, which inspires evil and disobedience. And between these two extreme states is the self-reproaching soul, which checks its actions and blames itself when it commits evil. Most souls hover between these different states depending on the person’s faith and actions. The Qur'an explains how one can achieve the noble state of the satisfied soul.(Nafs Mutmainna) Sura Al Ra’d verse 28 says “"Indeed, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction."The Qur'an is the voice of Al-Rahman just as music is the voice of Satan (Devil). If the evil-inspiring soul finds solace in music, dance and its paraphernalia, the satisfied soul finds its peace and consolation in the Qur'an, prayer and the company of the righteous. The satisfied soul has such a deep conviction in Allah and the Last Day that never is it upset by the sorrows or demands of this world.

During his return from a Jihad expedition, the Prophet (pbuh) once sat down to rest under the shade of a tree far from his devout companions. A Makkan called Chawrath bin Al Harith saw his golden chance and came forward with his sword drawn: "0 Muhammad. Who is going to save you from me now?" Calm and un-fearing, the Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa-sallam) stood tall and replied simply,"Allah!". The man was surprised into confusion by this simple answer and unconsciously dropped his sword. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wa-sallam) immediately picked up the sword and asked, "Tell me who will save you now?". The man quietly answered,"There is no god worthy of worship but Allah."Illness, financial worries, loss of property or death of dear ones does not cause the satisfied soul to wail, curse or lament. Whenever it faces any problems it simply say, "To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return" and faces the misfortune with patience and trust in its Lord. Such are the souls described Sura Al Baqara verse 155-156, "Be sure, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, some loss of goods or lives or fruits of your toils. But give glad tidings to those who are patient. Those who say, when afflicted by calamity: "To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return. The satisfied soul believes that all happiness and sorrow is by the decree of Allah. It therefore feels no need to lament at misfortunes or to boast at success. Sura Al Hadid verse 22-23, “ No misfortune can happen on earth or to your soul but it is written in a decree before We bring it into existence. That is truly easy for Allah. In order that you may not despair over matters that pass you by, nor exult in favors bestowed upon you, for Allah loves not the vain boasters." No worldly anxieties upset the satisfied soul. If it fails to acquire something for which it has struggled for many years, it will accept its destiny and remember the following words of the Prophet of Allah (swt): "What has reached you was never meant to escape you and what has escaped you was never meant to reach you." The satisfied soul seeks its nourishment in Dhikr (the remembrance of Allah), prayer, fasting, Zakat(charity) and Hajj(philgrimage). It relies heavily for support on the branches of faith, the highest of which is to say and believe in ‘There is no god worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah’, and the lowliest of which is to remove an obstacle from the path. Angels are present to strengthen this soul and to bless and greet it when it departs this material life, when it is resurrected and when it is admitted into the gardens of paradise. Their greeting to it is the greeting of a Muslim to his fellow Muslim: ‘Peace be unto you’ Sura Zumar verse 73 says, "And those who feared their Lord will be led to the Paradise in crowds; until they arrive there, its gates are opened and its keepers will say: ‘Peace be upon you! Well have you done. Enter here and dwell forever."

Nafs ammara bis su’: In contrast this soul which earns the company of Satan(devil) because it ignores the remembrance of Allah. Sura Az Zukhruf verse 36 says, "The one who withdraws himself from the remembrance of the Merciful, We appoint for him a Satan(devil) to be a companion to him." Satan’s(Devil) cohorts and tunes surround the evil soul day and night. It drives from one satanic act(devil work) to other. You will see it lying and cheating, wasting time on leisure and sports, frequenting cinemas and concerts, listening to music and dancing. As one contemporary writer said, "The godless society’s motto is ‘work and play', while the motto of the god-conscious society is, ‘work and pray’ "

Nafs Lawwama: The self-reproaching soul succumbs to evil inspirations but then regrets its actions and reproaches itself for being weak and vulnerable. These feelings of remorse cause it to turn back to Allah swt, to repent sincerely, and to receive spiritual solace. It is better for each Nafs to blame itself whenever it commits a wrong. If not, it will find itself being blamed from all those around it. Consider how the self-reproaching soul is mentioned with the Day of Resurrection in Sura Al Qiyamah verse 1-2 ,"I do call to witness the Resurrection Day. And I do call to witness the self-reproaching soul." There is a common factor between these two entities, which is that both are courts of justice. The Nafs al Lawwama is an inner court of justice within each person; when he acts wrongfully. his conscience or soul reprimands him, and it is then up to him to pay heed to it or to ignore it. Besides placing an inner court of justice within each person, the Creator has also prepared a larger Court, which will operate on the Final Day and will mete out justice to all of mankind.

Student studies hard for his final examinations, researching in libraries, practicing past papers and revising his notes because he wants a university degree, which will help, advance his career. A businessman invests much of his time, energy and money into a commercial venture in the hope of large profits in the future. A farmer ploughs his land, sows it, waters it and tends it regularly in the hope of a good harvest. They all know that success does not come down on a plate but has to be achieved through hard work. Man does certain things in life for certain results, and he avoids other acts because of their consequences. An adult will not put his hand into a naked flame because he knows that fire burns, but a child will do so as he is unaware of the consequences. The most important Belief and Knowledge that should dictate our actions is that Allah Almighty exists, that He is the Creator and Provider, and that none can benefit nor harm us except with His permission. If a person’s Iman (faith) in Allah swt is firm and unyielding, he will be able to direct all his worship and obedience to Allah and will feel no fear of false deities or worldly powers. Consider the encounter of Pharaoh’s court magicians with Prophet Musa as described in the Qur'an. Before meeting the Prophet, they pleaded with Pharaoh for a substantial reward were they to defeat Musa in a duel using magic. Sura Al A’raaf verse 113, "So the sorcerers came to Pharaoh and said, 'Of course we shall have a suitable reward if we win." Pharaoh accepted their plea and promised them not only a reward but also positions at court. When the encounter with Musa began, the magicians realized quickly that while their own display was simple magic, Musa’s display was extraordinary and much more than any human could conjure up. So overawed were they by Musa’s miracles that they all fell down in sajda (prostration) saying in Sura Ta Ha verse 70,"We believe in the Lord of the Worlds. The Lord of Musa and Harun," Pharaoh was stunned by their declaration of faith in Allah and shouted Sura Ta Ha verse 71,"Have you believed in Him before I gave you permission? Be sure, I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and then I will crucify you on trunks of palm trees. So shall you know which of us can give the more severe and lasting punishment." These threats did not frighten the magicians. These men who had just been begging Pharaoh for more gold coins now became so fearless because of their faith in Allah that they answered him back easily. Sura Ta Ha verse 72-73 ,"Never shall we prefer you over the Clear Signs that have come to us and Him who has created us. So decree whatever you wish to decree. For you can only decree concerning the matters of this world. We have believed in our Lord; may He forgive us our faults and the magic to which you did compel us, for Allah is the Best and forever abiding". What You Sow you will Reap. The man who believes that there is no afterlife and that he will not be accountable in a divine court becomes a slave of this world. He hankers after its comforts and luxuries, and will break any laws that stand between him and success. In his desperate quest for more wealth, he will refuse to differentiate between halal and haram. The tyrants and criminals of this world operate in the same manner. If to achieve their goals requires murder and violence, then so be it. The Bosnian Serbs were among the twentieth century’s worst examples of barbarity and tyranny; led by a pathological lust for more land, their evil knew no bounds. In contrast is the man who believes in Allah and in the questioning of the Last Day. He fears his Creator’s wrath and desires his Lord’s favors. Certainty of belief in paradise and hell guides his entire life, not just the moments spent in prayer. To him this world is merely a short journey, the destination of which is the Hereafter. Thus he directs most of his efforts towards earning Paradise and devotes only part of his time to earning his bread in this world. He is constantly aware of his divine mission to call the misguided people around him to Islam and so he buries himself in da’wah work.Belief in the Hereafter is the catalyst which stimulates the souls seeking a better future and its importance has been emphasized in the Qur'an repeatedly. The true believers have been described as those who have firm faith in the Hereafter, because that will be the true life. Sura Al Ankabut verse 64, "What is the life of this world but amusement and play? But indeed the home of the Hereafter is the true Life, if only they knew."The Ultimate Success is not in amassing fortunes, being famous or having a fantastic career, but success is in escaping the fires of hell. Sura Al Imran verse 185, “"Every soul shall taste death, and only on the Day of Judgement will you receive your full recompense. The one who is saved from the Fire and admitted into Paradise will have attained success, for the life of the world is nothing but the goods of deception.”The Messenger of Allah (saws) declared that wise is the man who reminds himself constantly of the accountability on the Day of Resurrection and so works hard for the life succeeding death. And stupid is the man whose only concerns are the transient desires and comforts of this life. The Prophet (pbuh) also described this world as a farm for the 'Akhira.' (Hereafter). Whatever you sow in this world, you shall reap in the Hereafter. In order that people may not become complacent that the Day of Judgement is far away in the distant future, he advised each person to remember that his Judgement will begin on the day he dies

Experiences of the Soul after Death:The New World of Barzakh begins when the person’s soul leaves his body and his short life on this earth comes to an end. The dying man experiences things which cannot be comprehended by the people around him. As his soul leaves his body through his nostrils, his eyes follow his soul. For this reason, the Prophet (saws) advised the people to close the eyes of the deceased to make his appearance less ghastly. Allah Almighty says about this moment of dying.Sura Al-Waqiah 83-87,"Then why do you not intervene when the soul (of the dying man) reaches the throat. And you are at that time looking . We are nearer to him , but you do not see. And why do you not, if you are exempt from accountability, call back the soul if you are truthful?" As the person dies and enters a New World, a window into the 'Akhira' (hereafter) is opened for him to allow his soul to view Heaven and Hell. Death is a time of truth and the lies with which disbelievers surround themselves in this world are exposed. These lies include the denial of the existence of Allah, rejection of the punishment of the grave, and denial of the Day of Judgement. So when death comes to the disbelievers and they feel the heat of the raging fires of hell, they begin to plead for a second chance on earth to do good. But all their pleading is in vain. Sura Al Mu’minun verse 99-100,"Until, when death comes to one of them, he says, ‘O my Lord. Send me back to life. In order that I may do good deeds in the things that I neglected.’ By no means! It is but a word he says. And before them is a barzakh until the day they are raised up."

The journey of the soul from the earth to heaven where it meets its Lord is described vividly in the following hadith:Al-Bara b. ‘Azib said: We went out with the Prophet (saws) to the funeral of a man of the Ansar and came to the grave. It had not yet been dug, so Allah’s Messenger (saws) sat down and we sat down around him quietly. He had in his hand a stick with which he was making marks on the round. Then he raised his head and said, "Seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of the grave; saying it twice or thrice. He then said, "When a believer is about to leave the world and go forward to the next world, angels with faces white as the sun come down to him from heaven with one of the shrouds of paradise and some of the perfume of paradise and sit away from him as far as the eye can see. Then the angel of death comes and sits at his head and says, ‘Good soul, come out to forgiveness and acceptance from Allah.’ It then comes out as a drop flows from a water-skin and he seizes it; and when he does so they do not leave it in his hand for an instant, but take it and place it in that shroud and that perfume, and from it there comes forth a fragrance like that of the sweetest musk found on the face of the earth. They then take it up and do not bring it past a company of angels without their asking, "Who is this good soul?’ to which they reply, ‘So and so, the son of so and so’, using the best names by which people called him on the earth. They then bring him to the lowest heaven and ask that the gate should be opened for him. This is done, and from every heaven its archangels escort him to the next heaven until it is brought to the seventh heaven, and Allah who is great and glorious says, ‘Record the book of my servant in Illiyyun and take him back to earth, for I created mankind from it, I shall return them into it, and from it I shall bring them forth another time.’ His soul is then restored to his body, two angels come to him, and making him sit up say to him, ‘ Who is our Lord’ He replies, ‘My Lord is Allah.’ They ask, ‘What is your religion?’ and he replies, ‘My religion is Islam.’ They ask, ‘Who is this man who was sent among you?’ and he replies, ‘He is Allah’s Messenger.’ They ask, ‘What is your [source of] knowledge?’ and he replies, ‘I have read Allah’s Book, believed in it and declared it to be true.’ Then one cries from heaven, ‘My servant has spoken the truth, so spread out carpets for him from paradise, and open a gate for him into paradise.’ Then some of its joy and its fragrance comes to him, his grave is made spacious for him as far as the eye can see, and a man with a beautiful face, beautiful garments and a sweet odor comes to him and says, ‘Rejoice in what pleases you for this is your day which you have been promised.’ He asks, ‘Who are you, for your face is perfectly beautiful and brings good?" He replies, ‘I am your good deeds.’ He then says, ‘My Lord, bring the last hour; my Lord, bring the last hour, so that I may return to my people and my property.’

But when an infidel is about to leave the world and proceed to the next world, angels with black faces come down to him from heaven with hair-cloth and sit away from him as far as the eye can see. Then the angel of death comes and sits at his head and says, ‘Wicked soul, come out to displeasure from Allah.’ Then it becomes dissipated in his body, and he draws it out as a spit is drawn out from moistened wool. He then seizes it, and when he does so they do not leave it in his hand for an instant, but put it in that hair-cloth and from it comes forth a stench like the most offensive corpse found on the face of the earth. They then take it up and do not bring it past a company of angels without their saying, ‘Who is this wicked soul?’ to which they reply, ‘So and so, the son of so and so’, using the worst names that he was called in the world. When he is brought to the lowest heaven request is made that the gate be opened for him, but it is not opened for him. (Allah’s Messenger (saws) then recited, ‘The gates of heaven will not be opened for them and they will not enter paradise until a camel can pass through the eye of a needle.’ Allah who is most Great and Glorious then says, ‘Record his book in Sijjin in the lowest earth,’ and his soul is thrown down. (He (saws) then recited, ‘He who assigns partners to Allah is as if he had fallen down from heaven and been snatched up by the birds, or made to fall by the wind in a place far distant.’ His soul is then restored to his body, two angels come to him, and making him sit up say to him, ‘Who is your Lord?’ He replies, ‘Alas, alas, I do not know.’ They ask, ‘What is your religion?’ He replies, ‘Alas, alas, I do not know.’ They ask ‘Who is this man who was sent among you?’ He replies, Alas, alas, I do not know.’ Then one cries out from heaven, ‘He has lied, so spread out carpets from hell for him, and open a gate for him into hell.’ Then some of its heat and hot air comes to him, his grave is made narrow for him so that his ribs are pressed together in it and a man with an ugly face, ugly garments and an offensive odor come to him and says, Be grieved with what displeases you, for this is your day which you have been promised.’ He asks ‘Who are you, for your face is most ugly and brings evil?’ He replies, ‘l am your wicked deeds.’ He then says, My Lord, do not bring the last hour.’In a version there is something similar containing this addition:

"When his soul comes out every angel between heaven and earth and every angel in heaven invoke blessings on him, and the gates of heaven are opened for him, no guardians of a gate failing to supplicate God that his soul may be taken up beyond them. But his soul, i.e., the infidel’s, is pulled out along with the veins and every angel between heaven and earth and every angel in heaven curse him, and the gates of heaven are locked, no guardians of a gate failing to supplicate God that his soul may not be taken up beyond them."

The person who answers the questions correctly and is destined for paradise will feel that his grave is expanding and becoming a garden of paradise. The angels will tell him gently, "Sleep like the sleep of a bride."

But the person who fails to answer the questions correctly will feel the grave closing in on him and a door into hell will be opened for him. His mortal body will decompose and eventually disappear into the ground, but his soul will continue to feel the punishment it earned in its life on earth. The punishment of the grave is the first hurdle the person has to overcome after death, and if he overcomes it easily, the rest of his trial on the Day of Judgement will be similarly easy. For this reason, the Messenger of Allah (saws) used to recite the following du’aa frequently :"My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and seek refuge in You from the torture of the hell fire, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of the false messiah, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of living and dying."

Zaid b. Thabit narrated that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihe wa-sallam) and his Companions were passing through a belonging to the Banu An Najjar when the Prophet (pbuh) mount shied and almost unseated him. They were close to a few graves in which polytheist were buried, so the Prophet (pbuh) said, "These , people are being tortured in their graves, and were it not that you would stop burying your dead, I would ask Allah to let you hear the punishment in the grave which I can hear."(Saheeh Muslim)

In holy Quran there are more 36 verses (Sura bani israil and sura Mariam) in which there is mention of this ‘worldly life’ and ‘life hereafter’. Sura Al Imran verse 185,“Every one shall taste death…. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing).” In this verse this ‘worldly life’ is compared with deception and it becomes clear that worldly life is non permanent, and is a deceiving thing, so one should try his utmost not to be deceived by this ‘worldly life’. Another place holy Quran declares this life as play, amusement, pastime etc. Sura An,am verse 32, “And the life of this world is nothing but play and amusement, but for better is the house and the hereafter for those who are pious, will you not then understand”.From this verse it is clear that in comparison to the hereafter, the worldly life is nothing but an amusement and a play and in the hereafter to best house (Paradise) will be given/ bestowed to those who are pious and righteous persons, who fear Allah much and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds, which Allah has forbidden. Also Sura Mohammad verse 36 respectively, ‘worldly life’ is regarded as play, amusement and pastime and the ‘life hereafter’ is regarded as the life indeed i.e. the eternal life that will never end.Holy Quran also warns of the ‘dire punishment’ to those who sold their hereafter for this ‘worldly life’. Holy Quran declares Sura Baqara verse 86,“Those are they who have bought the life of this world at the cost of price of the hereafter. Their torment shall not be lightened nor shall they be helped.”Holy Quran also say in sura Ma’ida verse 32, “…If anybody kills a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land- it would be if he killed all mankind and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind.” Narrated Anas bin Malik (ra), the Prophet of Allah (pbuh) said, “the biggest of the great sins are: (i) To join others as partners in worshipping Allah (ii) To murder a human being (iii) To be undutiful to ones parents and (iv) To make a false statement or ‘to give a false witness’ (Sahih al-Bukhari). Also quoted in ‘The Noble QuranSura Ma’ida verse 32, is the basis of ‘Human Rights in Islam’. It declares that a person who kills another person (without any reason) losts/ loses right to life (by killing the another).Again holy Quran declares sura Tawba verse 38, “Are you pleased with the life of this world rather than the hereafter. But little is the enjoyment of the life of this world as compared to the hereafter.” Regarding the above verse Prophet (pbuh) is reported to have said:“No body who dies and finds good from Allah (in the Hereafter) would wish to come back to this world, even if he were given the whole world and what ever is in it except the matyr who, on seeing and get killed again (in Allah’s cause)”. (Sahih al-Bukhari) Thus, it is clear from the above mentionied verse and hadith, that the value of hereafter can never be compared to this world and whatever is in it. Although human being who intends more and more (as Prophet (pbuh) said, “If son of Adam is bestowed with two valleys of gold, he will inted/ desire for a third one”) after being rewarded good in the hereafter will never wish to come back to world. This clearly shows the value of ‘worldly life’ as compared to hereafter. This is understood only by those who know, who understand, who think, who parder, who reflect and who are the men of wisdom, understanding and reason. There is also a “lesson” in it for men of understanding rather for true believers.Holy Quran also says that those people who are polytheists and wrong-doers (al-zalimun) will not be successful because they keep themselves busy in this world, forget this Lord, their religion and its teachings and deceive themselves by thinking and by remaining busy with this world. Regarding these people holy Quran declares in sura An’am verse 135: “Say (O Muhammad (pbuh), ‘O my people! Work according to your way, surely, I also am working (in my way) and you will come to know for which of us will be the (happy) end in the hereafter. Certainly, the zalimun (polytheists and wrong doers) will not be successful”.

Barzakh literally means "Barrier". It has been used for the period between Death and the Day of Resurrection (ie the day when all human beings will be brought back to life). During Barzakh, one's correct belief and good deeds alone will assist him in having a peaceful time.Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (A) has said:"We will intercede (ask for forgiveness) on your behalf on the Day of Judgement, but, by Allah, I am worried about you for the period when you would be in Barzakh" Sinners will be punished during this period. The Holy Qur'an confirms the period of Barzakh saying in Sura al Mu'minoon verse 100 , "...And before them is a barrier until the day they are raised." There are 3 groups in Barzakh: The true perfect believers,The confirmed unbelievers and hypocrites; Those who are neither perfect believers nor confirmed unbelievers. 1.The true believers:This group of people are perfect in their Faith and virtuous in their deeds. They lived a blameless life, and if there was some mistake or sin, their worldly troubles like, illness, poverty, death of near and dear ones, troublesome neighbours, and/or agony at the time of Death were sufficient to be counted as payment for the sins they committed.Allah knows that they deserve reward; but since the Day of Judgement has not yet come, they cannot be sent to Paradise. By the rule of the law they should be left without any reward till they are resurrected; but by the Mercy of Allah, they are questioned about their beliefs and on giving correct answers, they enter a state of Bliss, which gives them the satisfaction of knowing that their future is secure. They find pleasure and happiness in their grave and wait eagerly for the DayofResurrection.2.The confirmed unbelievers and hypocrites:These are the people whose lives were devoid of good deeds, or if there were any good deeds performed, the worldly blessings of health, wealth, good family and friends, prestige and power, etc and/or the ease at the time of death were sufficient rewards.Allah knows that there place is in Hell; but He does not send them there before the Day of Judgement. So, to give a fore-taste of their punishment, they are questioned about their beliefs, and when they do not give correct answers, their graves are turned into cells of punishment; and they wish that Qiyamah would not comeatall.Note:The reward or punishment of Barzakh is different from that of Paradise or Hell. The reward or punishment of Barzakh is for the Soul only. It is for this reason that we do not see anyone being rewarded or punished in the grave. In the tradition of Ma'sumeen (A) it has been compared to happy dreams or nightmares.3.Neither perfect believers nor confirmed believers:These are the children, the insane, those who for some reason or another could not differentiate the right path from the wrong path, those who were so far out of the Islamic Environment that they were not aware of the truth of Islam, those who did not know about Islam but yet were not enemies of Islam, those whose religious beliefs were not based upon logical understanding but just followed what their families were following, those non-believers who love the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and the Ahlul Bayt (A) without knowing that they were the True Guides sent by Allah swt.

Such people will not be subjected to the questioning and squeezing in the grave. They will left in a state like deep slumber, and Allah will decide about them on the Day of Judgement. Till then, there is neither reward nor punishment for them. After these main groups, there still remains a group in between. This group is of those believers who had committed so many sins that could not be wiped out by the worldly troubles and agony of death. If Allah decides that such a believer should come on the Day of Judgement clean from all blemishes and free from all sins, then He may put him under punishment during Barzakh. It is this punishment which has been referred to in the Hadith by Imam Ja'faras-Sadiq(A): "We will intercede on your behalf on the day of judgement but, by Allah, I am worried about you whilst you would be in Barzakh."On the other hand, if Allah decides to leave this case in suspense till Qiyamah, then it will fall under the 3rd group.

All these things depend upon the justice and mercy of Allah. We have not been told enough to know all the details about all the groups. It is about the 1st, 2nd and last group of people who will be punished in Barzakh, that the Holy prophet (pbuh) has said: "When one dies, his Qiyamah starts."

questioning in the grave ,squeezing in the grave according to traditions, after one has been buried and those who came to bury him go away (it is said that 40 steps away from the grave is sufficient), two angels come into the grave. One is called Munkar, the other Nakir. The soul is caused to re-enter the body for questioning. Then the person (now alive again) is asked :

"Who is your Rabb (Lord)? Who is your Prophet? What is your Religion?

Whoever would answer the questions correctly would get comfort and mercy in his grave and the garden of bliss in the Akhirat(hereafter), and whoever would not answer correctly, for him would be the punishment of hell fire in his grave . After the questioning in the grave by Munkar and Nakir the angels, Mubashir and Bashir, come to congratulate the believers if they have answered successfully.

Squeezing in the Grave (Fishare Qabr), it is said:

"Whoever is subject to the questioning in the grave, is also squeezed by the grave therein, and the one who is exempted from questioning, is exempted from the squeeze also."For some believers the squeeze will be like two friend embracing each other. For some sinful believers, the squeezing will be severe enough to fracture the ribs. For non-believers, the squeezing will be worst.

The squeezing is not dependent upon the corpse being buried in the earth..A Muslim should and must believe in Qiyamah and live such a clean life which would help him to pass the Divine Judgement easily and earn the life eternal of the heavenly bliss. The fifth principle of the faith is the belief in Qiyamah. The faith in this principle is compulsory.Every human being is individually accountable for each one's faith and deeds. The Holy Qur'an declares in sura Al Ahqaf verse 19: "And for all according to what they did; and that He may fully recompense their deeds, "and they shall not be done any injustice."

After death, all human beings will be resurrected to be rewarded and punished according to each individual's earnings of virtue and vice in this life. "The present life is only a season for cultivation or effort, and the life after death will be the period of harvest or the result. This life, is for creating causes for effects in the hereafter. As one sows now, so then shall be reap. First and second trumpets,The sound of the trumpet will be the first stage of the Day of Judgement. Allah swt has mentioned it in many ayats of the Holy Qur'an. An example of such a verse , " And theTrumpet shall be blown, then shall swoon (die) whoever is in heavens and whoever is in the earth,. Then the Trumpet shall be blown again and lo! they shall stand up awaiting (they shall wake up again)."So the trumpet will be blown twice. When it will be blown for the first time, people (and every living thing) will die. After it is blown for the second time, everyone will wake up and indeed it will be the Day of Judgment.

In the conclusion, we (the Muslims) should always live and life of humbleness and without pride and arrogance as Narrated by Abdullah bin Masud Prophet (pbuh) said,“Whosoever has pride in his heart equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant) shall not enter paradise. Pride is to completely disregard the truth, and to scorn (to look down on the people)”. (Sahih Muslim)

In his will to Imam Hasan (pbuh), Imam Ali (pbuh) said, "My son, know that you have been created for the next world and not for this world, and for annihilation and not for stay, for death and not for life; you are in a transient place, a place which is a path to the Hereafter... You are driving away a death from which no one can run away and which none of its seekers can miss. It has to be experienced, so beware lest it catches up with you while you are in a bad state." As the Holy Infallibles constantly reminded us, our departure from this world is imminent. It is but a transitory place, a mere passage to our permanent abode, while the Hereafter is for eternity – beginning with life in the grave, followed by the stage of Barzakh, continuing on until the Day of Judgment (Qiyamat), until we can finally enter Paradise and/or Hellfire.

Each of these phases of life has different effects, occurrences, and outcomes, all depending on our deeds and beliefs in this short and temporal world. Yet for most of us, the next world is too frightful to even think about, and such fear is often coupled with a general lack of awareness of what exactly we will encounter once the soul disconnects with the material body and enters a whole other dimension of life. The vital question we must ask is: Do we plan to take the life of the Hereafter as it comes when it is our turn to lie some six feet under the ground, or will we, as intelligent beings, acquaint ourselves with its reality before we get there?

Imam Ali says, "O servants of Allah! The state in the grave of a person whose sins are not forgiven is more horrifying than death itself. Fear its (the grave's) narrowness, its squeezing, its imprisonment and its loneliness. Verily the grave calls out daily: 'I am the house of loneliness, the house of terror and worms.' The grave is like a garden of Paradise for a good-doer, while it is like a dungeon of hell for the evil-doer. Allah tells His enemies He will send ninety nine serpents in their graves that will tear their flesh and smash their bones, and this punishment will continue till the Day of Judgment. If one such serpent exhales towards this earth, all the plants and trees will be destroyed. O servants of Allah! Your souls are tender, and your bodies delicate; you cannot confront any ordinary serpent of this world, how then will you face them?"

The Holy Prophet (pbuh) is reported to have said that the squeezing of the grave is the expiation of the sin of wasting and not appreciating the bounties granted by God. Some of the other reasons for this punishment include laziness in purifying oneself after urinating, creating mischief amongst the people, backbiting, bad behavior towards one's family members, and making false allegations. The questions will pertain to one's beliefs (Aqaid) and deeds (Amaal), and will be put to every believer as well as non-believer; only infants, the mentally disabled, and those of lesser intellect are exempt from it. The two angels with voices like thunder and eyes like lightening will ask the following questions:

1. Who is your Lord?

2. What is your Religion?

3. Who is your Prophet?

If the deceased is able to give correct answers, a gate is opened near his head, and his grave is widened as far as he can see. The period of Barzakh (which will continue until the Day of Resurrection) passes with ease and the angels proclaim to him, "Sleep thou like a newly wedded bride." However, if the deceased is unable to give correct replies, a door of the hell of Barzakh will open for him, and a breath from the breaths of hell will fill his entire grave.

The questioning in the grave will therefore be a cause of happiness for the believer, proclaiming an era of eternal happiness. He will confidently give testimony to the Oneness of the One Lord and the Messengership of His Beloved Messenger, see the beautiful faces of the angels, and smell the fragrance of the gardens of Paradise accompanying them. That is why such angels have been named "Mubashir and Basheer" (announcers of good tidings).

On the contrary, unbelievers in their grave will see the beginning of their pains and divine punishment, opening their eyes to the misfortune and torture that lies ahead of them. The very arrival of the angels will terrorize such deniers, and this is why these angels are named "Munkar and Nakeer" (the abhorring ones).

‎Until when death comes to one of them, he says in surat Al muminun verse 100, “My Lord, send me back so that I may do some good I did not do (in the world). But Nay! These are mere words which he utters and behind them is a Barzakh until the Day of their Resurrection."

Allah swt has bestowed mankind both with this ‘worldly life’ and with ‘life hereafter’. This ‘worldly life’, according to the Quran, is very little small and lasting as compared to the ‘life hereafter’ which is forever/ everlasting and permanent. In various verses holy Quran declares, on the one side, this ‘worldly life’ as play, amusement and past time and on the other side, the ‘life hereafter’ as everlasting, permanent, eternal life that will never end and above all that is the life indeed. The Messenger of Allaah swt said, "Seek Allaah's protection from the Punishment of the Grave, since punishment of the Grave is a fact/true." (At-Tabraanee). The Messenger of Allaah (swt) said, "Verily the grave is the first stopping place for the Hereafter; so if he is saved therein, then what comes after is easier than it. And if he is not saved therefrom, then that which comes after is harder." (Tirmidhi). The Messenger of Allaah (swt) said, "When the dead person is buried two black-blue angels come to him, one called al-Munkar and the other called an-Nakeer, and they say to him: 'What had you used to say about this man?' So he says what he used to say: 'Allaah's slave and His Messenger, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.' So they say: 'Verily we knew that you (would) say that.' Then his grave is widened for him to the extent of seventy cubits by seventy, then it is made light for him, then it is said: ' Sleep.' So he says: 'I should go to my family and inform them.' So they say: 'Sleep as the newly married sleeps whom no-one awakes except his favourite wife.' Until Allaah raises him up from that place of sleep. And if he is a hypocrite (munaafiq), he says: 'I heard the people saying something so I said it too, I don't know.' So they say: 'We knew that you (would) say that.' So it is said to the earth: 'Crush him', so he is crushed until his cross over and he remains in the state of torture until Allaah raises him up from that resting place." [Tirmidhi]

The Messenger of Allaah swt said, "When a human being is laid in his grave and his companions return and he even hears their footsteps, two angels come to him and make him sit and ask him: What did you used to say about this man, Muhammad? He will say: I testify that he is Allaah's slave and His Apostle. Then it will be said to him, 'Look at your place in the Hell-Fire. Allaah has changed for you a place in Paradise instead of it.' The Prophet (pbuh) added, "The dead person will see both his places. But a non-believer or a hypocrite will say to the angels, 'I do not know, but I used to say what the people used to say! It will be said to him, 'neither did you know nor did you take the guidance (by reciting the Qur'aan).' Then he will be hit with an iron hammer between his ears, and he will cry and that cry will be heard by whatever approaches him except human beings and jinns." (Bukhari) The Messenger of Allaah (swt) said, "Everyone who dies - then his actions are sealed except for the one guarding the border in the way of Allaah - his actions continue to increase for him until the Day of Resurrection and he is saved from the trials of the Grave." (Abu Dawud & Tirmidhi)

May Allah swt help muslim ummah from the said punishments and amend their life. We must follow quran and Sunnah in our daily life. We must expand dawa illallah by following quran and authentic sunnah of Prophet(pbuh) till our death. Muslim ummah is running in a critical position due to following non culture. Most of the muslim are dived in wealth and money. They are about lose Islamic heritage from their life. In this regard our masjids to be organized for worship. Islamic institutions and guide centers to established for announcing islam. we must fear Allah swt as the way needs to be fear. We have to recall more and more about our death to be purified ourselves, our family and children.
