Vietnam ready to be Bangladesh's development partner

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said Vietnam is ready to become development partner of Bangladesh. He said this during a meeting with Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid at the State Ceremonial Hall of the Prime Minister's Office. During the meeting, the Vietnamese Prime Minister assured Bangladesh President of removing all barriers for expanding bilateral ties between the two countries, particularly in trade and investment. Bangladeshi President replied, "We consider Vietnam as a good friend and want to progress towards development together," he said and hopped that Vietnam will come forward in this regard. The Bangladesh President requested the Prime Minister of Vietnam to take steps for simplification of visa procedures for Bangladeshi businessmen and citizens. Nguyen Tan Dung deeply appreciated ‘the bilateral ties meeting’ between the Bangladesh President and his Vietnamese counterpart held at the State Ceremonial Hall of the Prime Minister's Office.
